The Gallops

This substantial family dwelling replaces a disused equestrian building.  Designed to be traditional in its appearance, the dwelling fuses contemporary elements such as the internal open plan living arrangement and expansive use of glass to the rear to maximise the fantastic views over the paddock.  A triple garage connected by a link with accommodation over provide an enclosed courtyard upon arrival and a beautiful oak porch to frame the main entrance.  Powered by a ground source heat pump and solar panels, this dwelling has been designed with the latest technology in mind.

Set to the side of this dwelling is another project undertaken by James Bell Architecture for the same client which involved the extension and remodelling of an existing bungalow.  Both schemes complete to make this a very attractive residential setting to what was once a tired set of buildings.
